Kat Von D Saint + Sinner Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches + Tutorial

Hey all!

Sorry my blog has been quite neglected these days, I am still quite active on my YouTube channel and Instagram - but sometimes this falls to the wayside - whoops!

This time of year I get really excited - because of all the holiday makeup launches! Every year I buy Kat Von D's holiday eyeshadow palette ( For the past 3 years!), it's almost like a holiday ritual - haha! This year she released the "Saint + Sinner" eyeshadow palette. The name comes as no surprise, it follows the theme of her Saint + Sinner releases in the previous months (perfumes, liquid lipstick, etc.). This eyeshadow palette retails for $83 CDN on Sephora Canada. I haven't heard a whole lot of talk about this palette - so here comes my thoughts!

FIRSTLY, lets just talk about the packaging. KVD - girl - I see YOU. Such a piece of art. She was inspired by gothic cathedrals, specifically their stained glass windows for this one. If you know that, that really helps you understand this palette. The palette is shaped like a stained glass window, and the design on it is embossed. It opens like the shutters of a window, and inside you see one side "Saint" and the other side "Sinner".

The shadows are colourful, also not surprising - since every year her holiday palettes are always colourful - which I love! I am such a colourful eyeshadow junkie. These shadows come in a variety of finishes - 4 - Mattes, Metallics, Pearlescents and glimmer shades (a new formula to Kat).

The cons: I wish there were more mattes in this palette. I love mattes for the crease! Also, SOME of the shadows are a bit tricky to work with (..."worship"), so it does take some trial and error.

All in all I think this is a great collectors palette. I know I will get a lot of use out of it - I love colourful eyeshadow looks! If you want to see my full review - check out the video below from my YouTube channel - and make sure you're subscribed if you aren't already :)

Thanks for hanging guys!
